  1. A report could lead to the removal of an Alpharetta judge. According to a report from The Judicial Qualification Commission, it has probable cause to support three grounds for judicial discipline against Alpharetta Chief Municipal Judge Barry Zimmerman. The report states that Zimmerman acted as an attorney in his court while sitting as a judge in that court — while on the bench, and in his role as an attorney, he represented a client in another case even though that client appeared before him as a judge. 3. Police are looking for a man who failed to return a rented excavator and trailer. A 25-year-old Atlanta man allegedly rented an excavator and trailer from Home Depot — valued at more than $27,000 — on Windward Parkway in Alpharetta last March and never came back. According to Home Depot officials, they notified police on May 31 that they had exhausted every attempt to locate the renter, including sending certified notices to his listed address, but they have received no response. The equipment's last known location was said to be in Asheville, N.C. (AppenMedia)
  4. This week, kids in the City of Milton got the opportunity to learn how to shoot hoops from NBA legend Dale Ellis. Ellis served as a special guest instructor for several days throughout the week at a youth basketball camp run by Halftime Sports, the City's program partner. The City shared some fun photos of Ellis at the Mill Springs Academy gym sharing his love and knowledge of basketball. (City of Milton)
