While the weather is getting cooler and you’re breaking out the holiday decorations, it will soon be time to register your little ones for those spring sports.

Alpharetta Recreation and Parks will kick off registration Dec. 1 for the 2016 Spring Youth Soccer and Lacrosse leagues for both boys and girls.
Specific dates are as follows:

- Priority registration: starts Tuesday, Dec. 1 for city of Alpharetta residents and returning city of Milton residents
- City of Milton registration: starts Tuesday, Dec. 8 for all city of Milton residents
- Open registration: starts Tuesday, Dec. 15 for anyone.
Ages and fees vary for each program and are listed in the Fall/Winter Leisure Guide. There are multiple ways are available for families to register, including online registration for residents who have an online customer account, or by downloading an activity registration form.
You can scan, email, fax, mail or drop off the form with payment to any Alpharetta recreation facility.
Volunteer coaching opportunities are also open for qualified adults. With a focus on safety, all selected coaches must successfully pass a background check and be screened to ensure proper sports knowledge. Training may be available.

Registration for spring sports has also begun with the city’s partner youth athletic associations, including Alpharetta Youth Softball Association and Alpharetta Youth Baseball Association.
