Students at Carrington Academy Bug Out For Earth Day Ladybug Release

Students celebrated Earth Day and protecting the environment by planting flowers and releasing hundreds of ladybugs in their schoolyard

On April 21, students at Carrington Academy McFarland in Alpharetta bugged out in celebration of Earth Day as they released hundreds of ladybugs throughout the schoolyard and back into the environment on plants, flowers and trees. Students also painted rocks and planted various flowers in their school garden.

Leading up to Earth Day, students learned that ladybugs serve as a natural pesticide by feeding on insects that could otherwise harm the health of gardens, trees and shrubs. Carrington Academy teaches the importance of community and exploring nature at an early age.
