Students at Carrington Academy McFarland Celebrate Earth Day

Students celebrated Earth Day and protecting the environment by releasing butterflies in their schoolyard to help local vegetation

On April 20, students at Carrington Academy McFarland in Alpharetta explored a bug’s life in celebration of Earth Day as they released butterflies throughout the schoolyard and back into the environment on plants, flowers and trees.

Leading up to Earth Day, students observed caterpillars, their cocoon development and transformation into butterflies. Carrington Academy teaches the importance of community and exploring nature at an early age.
