Suspect Carjacks Woman, Robs Alpharetta Business: Police

ALPHARETTA, GA -- Police in Alpharetta are investigating an armed carjacking of a motorist and robbery of a local business they believe were committed by the same suspect.

The first incident, reported Dec. 5, involved the man shattering a passenger vehicle's window and stealing the car from the female driver while it was idling at a traffic light.

During the evening hours of Wednesday, Dec. 14, the same suspect entered a local business in the Crabapple area, "stated he had a gun and would shoot unless he was given cash," Alpharetta Department of Public Safety spokesperson George Gordon said.

The investigation reveals the same man is the primary suspect in both of these incidents, and detectives are working to learn his identity, Gordon added.

He is described as a white male between 5'8'' and 5'10'' tall, possibly in his 30's or 40's, with scruffy brown hair and a beard.
