Thieves Steal Laptop, iPods, Catalytic Converter from Cars

Milton residents were the victims of thieves breaking into their cars to steal laptops, iPods,
A North Park Lane resident called Milton police on the morning of July 10 when she saw someone had smashed out both driver's side windows after she parked her car at her apartment. A bag containing a Dell laptop computer was missing.
An hour later a Deer Park Court resident reported her car window also had been smashed, and her iPod that was left in the cup holder between the two front seats.

Less than a half hour later a Deer Point Court resident reported to police someone had smashed the window of his Ford Explorer and stolen a gym bag that contained three pairs of tennis shoes, a jump rope and an iPod.
At 1 p.m. the Camden Park apartments office called the Milton police officer back to the property because a resident had found a gym bag. The victim was called to come check the bag, and he found only his Nano iPod was missing.

But a Deer Trail resident had the worst theft report on July 10. When he came out to start his Honda CRV that was parked in front of his apartment unit, it didn't start properly and sounded strange. He called a local car shop, and was told that his car's catalytic converter was probably missing.
The Milton police officer who responded checked and said it appeared someone removed the catalytic converter without cutting it out.
