Just in time for sweater, jeans and boots weather, Madewell, owned by J. Crew, celebrated its grand opening on Thursday.

Peter Millar, a classic men and women’s clothing store known for its fine golf attire among other styles, will open in time for holiday 2015.

AYA Med Spa, an Atlanta-based spa offering high quality skincare products and cosmetic treatments, and Parisian Nail Salon will open shortly after in spring 2016. Located on one of Avalon’s outparcels, The Container Store, which specializes in storage and organization solutions, is under construction with a planned spring 2016 opening.

Three new restaurants joining the mix include Branch and Barrel, Farm to Ladle and Café Intermezzo, all slated to open in spring 2016. Local chef Todd Hogan will lead the opening of Branch and Barrel. The new Southern-inspired, chef-driven restaurant will offer menu items such as sherried lobster and sweet corn gratin with pita chips and bacon marinated bistro steak and fries.

Farm to Ladle, which recently opened at Ponce City Market, will open its second location at Avalon. The restaurant describes itself as a European café and farmstand selling locally sourced raw vegetables, herbs, spices, soups, salads and sandwiches.

Atlanta-based and European-inspired coffeehouse known for its pastries and wide variety of beverages, Café Intermezzo, is also making the jump outside of the perimeter to join the growing mix of dining options at Avalon.

“We’re so excited to welcome these popular retailers and restaurants to the Avalon family,” said Mark Toro, managing partner of North American Properties, Avalon’s owner/operator and developer. “We look forward to continued leasing success as we prepare for Phase II.”

Phase II of Avalon will bring 80,000 additional square feet of retail, 500,000 additional square feet of office, 276 luxury multifamily units, a 325-key hotel and 65,000-square-foot conference center.
