Tree Climbing Event Allows Residents To See City From Another Point of View

The Alpharetta Natural Resources Commission is inviting residents who are seeking an adventure to celebrate Earth Day by climbing a tree!

Residents who would be interested in attempting this feat are invited to climb the grand old Oak tree, which is adjacent to Alpharetta City Hall in the heart of downtown.

This climbing adventure will take place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, April 25.

Master tree climber Hank Blaustein of funintrees.com will outfit and instruct participants as they climb to the treetop and overlook the city.

The cost for a one-hour climb is $15 per person if you pre-register or $20 per person on the day of the event. Cash or checks will be accepted (no credit or debit cards).

Due to limited space, pre-registration is encouraged. Please call (678) 297-6200 by April 24 to schedule your climb. Each climb takes about an hour.
