Volunteers Needed To Promote Alpharetta Arts Community

Arts Alpharetta will host a meeting at 6:30 p.m. July 30 at City Hall.

ALPHARETTA, GA — Residents who are interested in learning more about Alpharetta's arts scene and the nonprofit organizations dedicating to expanding the city's' cultural lineup are invited to attend a meeting scheduled for July 30 at City Hall.

A special volunteer event will be held at 6:30 p.m. Monday at Alpharetta City Hall. This event, organized by Arts Alpharetta, will allow you to explore ways to get involved using your talents and various interests, according to the organization's website.

You'll also learn more about Arts Alpharetta, as well as The Alpharetta Symphony, Alpharetta Community Chorus, Act1 Theater, Alpharetta Arts Guild, Metropolitan Ballet Theater, Lionheart School and the Alpharetta City Band.

Attendees will also learn more about the exciting plans for the new Arts Center, which is located in the former Alpharetta library at the corner of Canton Street and Mayfield Road. The city is renovating the facility so it can house cultural arts classes, programs, exhibits and performances.
