Author Stacey Urrutia, whose book “Making Angels” chronicles her stories of infertility, miscarriage and late-term pregnancy losses will share her story.

“By sharing how much my husband and I endured on our journey, I hope to let other see that they can not only survive, but thrive after such an experience,” Urrutia said. “This is a subject matter that impacts our marriages, our finances, our friendships, our physical and emotional health, as well as our faith, and yet it is rarely discussed.”

Participants will then be invited to go on a three-fourths of a mile short walk through the Northside/Alpharetta Medical Campus.

Although the event receives support from Northside Hospital, anyone whose life has been touched by perinatal loss, regardless of where, is invited to attend. Children are welcome.

The Atlanta Walk to Remember also accepts donations online during registration or at the event. A special keepsake river rock engraved with this year’s special elephant themed logo is available for purchase at $25. Proceeds from sales, donations and sponsorships help to keep the event free for all to attend.
