What's Open, Closed On Thanksgiving 2021 In Alpharetta, Milton

Many services in Alpharetta and Milton are closed on Thanksgiving, Nov. 25, and some will remain closed Friday.

ALPHARETTA-MILTON, GA — Thanksgiving may be different again this year due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. But something that hasn't changed is the closure of many services in Alpharetta and Milton for the holiday.

While Thanksgiving is a federal holiday, some services may continue their closures on Friday. Here are the openings and closings to know on and around Thursday, Nov. 25 (Thanksgiving) and Friday, Nov. 26 (Black Friday).

  • Fulton County courts, facilities and offices are closed on Thursday and Friday.
  • Fulton County public safety services are available 365 days per year.
  • Municipal offices for the City of Alpharetta and City of Milton will be closed on Thursday and Friday.
  • Alpharetta garbage pick up: If your regularly scheduled service day falls on Thanksgiving Day or a subsequent day of the same week, your revised service will occur on the day following your regularly scheduled service. For example (using the Thanksgiving Day Holiday): If your regularly scheduled service day is Thursday, your revised service day will be on Friday, and customers with regularly scheduled service on Friday will have service on Saturday.
  • All Fulton County public libraries will close at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 24, and will reopen on Saturday, Nov. 27.
  • Alpharetta Adult Activity Center at North Park and Park Place Senior Center will be closed Thursday and Friday.
