What's Opened, Closed on Thanksgiving Day in Alpharetta-Milton

As expected, you won’t be able to get any business you have with the local government out of the way on Thursday and Friday.

That’s because the cities of Alpharetta and Milton will temporarily cease operations on Thursday, Nov. 26 and Friday, Nov. 27 in observance of the Thanksgiving holiday. Both entities will return to a normal schedule on Monday, Nov. 30.
The city of Milton does not provide trash service, so residents are encouraged to check with their specific providers for holiday schedules.

Trash service in Alpharetta will be delayed by one day. For example, if your trash is collected on Thursday, it will be picked up on Friday. Residents whose garbage is collected on Friday will have that service carried out on Saturday.
Additionally, the Alpharetta and Milton public library branches will also be closed on both days. Both libraries will reopen on Saturday, Nov. 28.
Fulton County government offices will also close on Thursday and Friday.
