Where To Buy Live Christmas Trees Around Alpharetta, Milton

Haven't picked up the centerpiece of your indoor decorations yet? Here's the scoop on where you can find one around Alpharetta and Milton.

ALPHARETTA/MILTON, GA — Thanksgiving may be right around the corner, but many of us are in the thick of relishing the arrival of the Christmas season. While we all know quite a few people who have already put up their decorations, there are still many of us who've yet to transform our living spaces to reflect this wonderful time of the year.

The centerpiece of decorations — the Christmas tree — is just as important as the other aspects of your seasonal project. There are a few farms in and around Alpharetta and Milton that could help make the centerpiece of your creation quite an attraction.

To help in that task, we have compiled a list of places selling live Christmas trees around the area:

Hunters' Christmas Tree Farm, 14680 Wood Road, Milton; 770-475-0713

  • Hours: 9 a.m. - dusk on Black Friday, Nov. 27; noon to dusk on Saturdays; 4 p.m. to dusk Monday through Friday. Closed Sundays.
  • Offers hundreds of trees to choose from, including Leyland Cypress trees starting at $6 per foot and Frasier Firs starting at $9 per foot.
  • Variety of wreaths, white pine garland, tree stands and supplies are also available.
  • Complimentary hot chocolate, cookies and hay rides.
  • Santa Claus will be visiting the farm on Nov. 27, Sat. Nov 28, and Sat. Dec. 5, from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.
  • Pony rides will provided by the farm's partner Bear Foot Ranch from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Nov. 27-28

  • Many tree varieties ranging from 2-14 feet and wreaths are available in its "enchanted forest". Delivery and set up is available. Snow covered flocked trees also for sale. Fresh Christmas trees began arriving Nov. 20 and arrive throughout the season to assure maximum freshness.
  • Other season events include a Christmas tree lighting, pictures with Santa, enchanted nighttime hayrides and more.

Bottoms Christmas Tree Farm, 5880 John Burruss Road, Cumming; 770-887-2728

  • 2020 Christmas season: Nov. 21 - Dec. 19
  • Tree farm hours: Week of Thanksgiving 9 a.m.-6 p.m. through Saturday and open on Thanksgiving; after Thanksgiving 3-6 p.m. Monday-Thursdays, noon to 6 p.m. on Fridays, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturdays. Closed on Sundays.
  • The farm has more than 4,000 choose and cut Christmas trees to choose from in the fields. They also have a large selection of Fresh Cut Fraser Firs from North Carolina in the barn. Other Christmas-related items are also available for purchase.

Kinsey Family Farms, 7170 Jot-Em-Down Road, Gainesville; 770-887-6028

  • This northern Forsyth County farm expects to have more than 4,000 Christmas trees available for selection. You can either choose and cut your own or select pre-cut trees for purchase.
  • Hours are 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday and 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and Sunday
  • Special hours: 8 a.m.-7 p.m. on Nov. 25; Closed Thanksgiving Day; 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Nov. 27
  • The farm will be closed Dec. 20 through the new year.

Autumn Hill Nursery and Landscaping, 4256 Earney Road, Woodstock; 770-442-3901

  • Due to Covid-19 and safety concerns, there will not be a Christmas Day event this year. The farm will still have trees and Christmas decor available starting the week before Thanksgiving.
  • Fraser Firs are fresh cut, and standing in water ready for your family to choose your perfect tree. Be sure to check out the 6- or 8-foot value trees that start at $45. Tree delivery and set-up is available in a limited distance from the nursery. $45 for delivery, set-up inside is an additional $25.
  • There are also custom orders for items such as wreaths, mantle sprays, door and mailbox swags, porch pots, holiday centerpieces, horsehead wreaths and memorial decorations.

  • After selecting your tree, you will want to rest and sit on the porch eating a warm funnel cake and sip some hot apple cider. There are no cut your own Leyland Cypress available, but you can choose one of the fresh pre-cut Frasier Fir trees from North Carolina.
  • Hours: 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on weekends and opening day which is Black Friday, Nov. 27; and 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. on weekdays through Dec. 13.

  • This classic old-timey Christmas tree lot offers complimentary hot spiced apple cider, a large grassy Christmas tree forest, a warm camp fire and friendly goats to say hi to.
  • Christmas trees are fresh from the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina.
  • Hours: 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. Monday through Saturdays, 11 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. on Sundays
