Whole Foods Market To Open Avalon Store

The store at 2800 Old Milton Parkway in Alpharetta will open on Tuesday, Oct. 14.

Whole Foods Market will open its newest location within the Avalon development in Alpharetta.

The store, which will sit at 2800 Old Milton Parkway, will open to shoppers on Tuesday, Oct. 14.

This is the eighth Atlanta-area location and the tenth store in the state, according to the company’s press release.

Shoppers can get an early look at the new 48,000 square-foot store during sneak-preview tours offered Oct. 10 and 11.

Online registration is required to secure a 45-minute tour between the hours of 11 a.m. and 7 p.m. Oct. 10 and from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Oct. 11.

A suggested donation of $5 to local nonprofits Chattahoochee Riverkeeper and Foster Care Support will be accepted at the door. Tour groups will be among the first to see the store’s unique features, enjoy samples and receive a goody bag.

“We are really looking forward to opening our doors in the Avalon community,” said Matar Diouf, store team leader of Whole Foods Market Avalon. “This store is going to bring together food, community and technology in a way we have not done before. People are really going to enjoy shopping here, and we can’t wait to bring the highest level of customer service, expertise and excitement to our customers.”

Information about events, community giving programs and more will be available on the store’s website and the conversation and photo-sharing are under way on its Facebook, Twitter and Instagram pages.
