1 Dead, 1 Injured After Athens Shooting: Police
Police said the two people shot each other Saturday near Gaines School Road.
ATHENS, GA — One man is dead, and another man was in the hospital, after police said they shot each other.
The Athens-Clarke County Police Department responded around 5 p.m. Friday to a shooting in the 100 block of Gaines School Road, according to a news release.
A 19-year-old man died due to related injuries while an 18-year-old man is expected to survive after being treated at the hospital, police said. Both were from Athens.
