1 Stabbed, 1 Charged In Athens Drug Transaction
A man is accused of stabbing the person who was allegedly selling marijuana to him, and then fleeing with the marijuana.
ATHENS, GA — A 20-year-old Lawrenceville man is facing charges after being accused of stabbing someone during a drug transaction around 12:15 a.m. Tuesday in the 1300 block of College Station.
Athens-Clarke County Police said the person who was stabbed was selling marijuana to Felix Nguyen when the duo engaged in an altercation. Nguyen is accused of then stabbing the person multiple times.
Police said Nguyen then fled with the marijuana but was apprehended by University of Georgia Police. Athens-Clarke Police took custody of Nguyen, and he was taken to the Clarke County Jail.

Nguyen was charged on suspicion of aggravated assault, armed robbery and possession of marijuana with intent to distribute.
The person who was stabbed is in stable condition and is expected to survive.
