2 Athens Men Face Drug Charges In Multi-Agency Operation
Athens-Clarke County Police accused the men of possessing methamphetamine, fentanyl and marijuana.

ATHENS, GA —A multi-jurisdictional investigation Wednesday resulted in the arrests of two men and the seizure of multiple types of drugs, Athens-Clarke County Police said Thursday.
Darrell Jackson, 40, and Darien Woodrum, 30, both of Athens, were charged on suspicion of trafficking methamphetamine, trafficking fentanyl and possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, police said.
Authorities seized 7 kilograms of methamphetamine, 6 ounces of fentanyl and more than 8 pounds of marijuana, police said.

The Northeast Georgia Regional Drug Task Force, the Clarke County Sheriff’s Office, the Oconee County Sheriff’s Office and the Greene County Sheriff’s Office assisted with the investigation.
