2 Charged With Burglary Of Athens Business

The owner of the Jefferson Road business saw two people in the building and alerted authorities Friday.

ATHENS, GA — Two Athens men were arrested in connection with the burglary of a Jefferson Road business Friday, Athens-Clarke County Police said Monday.

The owner of the business saw two people in the building and called 911, police said. Officers responded around 10:45 a.m. to a burglary in progress call.

When officers arrived, the two people were located in the building and taken into custody. Police did not identify what was taken from the business.

Police said Jason Robert Mills, 48, and Kenneth Edwin Gravitt, 58, were charged on suspicion of burglary and criminal trespass.

Both were at the Clarke County Jail Monday, according to jail records.
