6 Accused Of Dealing Meth, Fentanyl In Multi-County Probe: Athens PD
Police said seven firearms, cocaine, fentanyl and methamphetamine were recently seized during the joint operation.
ATHENS, GA — Six people accused of being fentanyl and methamphetamine dealers were recently arrested after a joint two-day operation, Athens-Clarke County Police said Friday.
The accused dealers are from several counties, including Bartow, Madison and Clarke, police said.
Authorities seized seven firearms, about 10 ounces of fentanyl (some of which was pressed into counterfeit Oxycodone pills), five ounces of meth and an unknown quantity of cocaine, police said.

The agencies involved in the operation included the Athens-Clarke County Police Department, the Northeast Georgia Regional Drug Task Force, Georgia State Patrol, the Madison County Sheriff’s Office, the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration and the FBI's Safe Streets Task Force.
Police did not go into further details of the operation or identify the arrestees. The police investigation is ongoing.
