Accident While Jumping Car, iPads Stolen, Angry Assault

ACCIDENT
Ethan Tyler Mann of Freeman Circle was on Bob Holman Road when his 2000 Jeep Cherokee stalled near the Commerce Road intersection. The occupants exited and flagged down a motorist to help jump-start the vehicle. A passenger, Kristina Henderson, also of Freeman Drive, was in front of the vehicle attaching the jumper cables. When the engine started, Mann put the vehicle in gear to move out of the roadway. Henderson was still front of the vehicle and was run over when Mann started to move the vehicle. EMS responded and transported Henderson to Athens Regional Medical Center. Mann was arrested and charged with Suspended/Revoked License, Suspended/Cancelled/Revoked Registration, and No Proof of Insurance. This accident occurred around 1:15 a.m. September 11.
BURGLARY
A Katydid Drive residence was burglarized between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. September 10. An iPad, camera, and cell phone were stolen. The total value was $1,400.
An Athens woman reported a wallet and contents valued at $15 stolen from her Carriage Court residence between 4:45 p.m. and 4:55 p.m. September 10.
Kingdom Technology, 999 Gaines School Road, was burglarized between 11:30 p.m. September 10 and 7 a.m. September 11. Laptops, an iPad, iPhones, and cash with a total value of $4,400 were stolen.
BATTERY
Around 1 a.m. September 11 officers responded to an assault at a Milford Drive residence. A Baxter Drive man was found with injuries to his face. Investigation revealed an identified subject became angry and attacked the man. EMS responded and transported him to Athens Regional Medical Center. The investigation continues.
