Athens-Clarke County Leisure Services ' Teens in Action' Program Wins Trendsetter Award

Athens-Clarke County was recently awarded The Trendsetter Award by the Georgia Municipal Association and Georgia Trend magazine.The award was presented on Jan. 22 at the GMA's annual Mayors' Day Conference held in Atlanta.

Athens received this recognition for it's Leisure Services Department's Teens in Action program. Teens in Action is a summer camp program that serves teens and introduces them to issues in the community and how volunteers can help address these issues.
