Athens Crime: Burglaries, Reckless Conduct, Auto Theft

BURGLARY

An Athens woman said she arrived at her Hwy 29 N residence around 8 a.m. November 24. Sometime during the night, the residence was burglarized. Cash and photos valued at $601 were stolen. A suspect was named.

A Cabin Creek Road residence was burglarized between 6:40 p.m. November 22 and 6:45 p.m. November 24. TVs and a video game system were stolen. The items were valued at $1,600.

RECKLESS CONDUCT

Around 5:50 p.m. on November 24 an officer on foot patrol on Carriage Court heard approximately six shots fired near the front of the complex. As he ran in that direction, he saw a number of people running from the area. A witness advised the shots came from a grey Ford Mustang. There was no information given on the occupants. No one was injured.

THEFT BY TAKING

Between 8 p.m. and 9:20 p.m. on November 24 a 2010 Kia Rio was stolen from a W Paces Drive residence. The vehicle is blue, with Georgia tag PPK7370, and is valued at $12,000.
