Athens Downtown Development Authority to Discuss City Master Plan with UGA's College of Environment and Design

members will consider proposals for downtown's master plan from the 's during a meeting on June 20. 

The authority plans to meet with Jack Crowley, head of the master's program at the College of Environment and Design, and Daniel Nadenicek, dean of the college. 

ADDA member and Athens-Clarke County Commissioner Mike Hamby said a master plan for the city was currently in the development stage. More details will be available on the project after the upcoming meeting.

"I can't give more details on the project right now before we have the meeting and find out what's being proposed," Hamby said. "I expect if we develop a partnership with them then we may be able to get going past the development stage."

Details for time and place of the meeting are to be determined.

Changes in personnel contracts have also been a recent topic for ADDA members. During the , the authority decided to extend Executive Director Kathryn Lookofsky's contract for six months. After that time, the ADDA will consider whether Lookofsky's contract should be renewed.

Hamby said he could not give a reason why Lookofsky's contract was extended rather than renewed.

"Any further than that information and you're getting into personnel information," he said. "I think I'm going to leave that in the executive session."
