Stray Bullet Injures Female In Athens Apartment

ATHENS, GA — A female was injured after she was hit by a stray bullet while inside her Rolling Ridge Drive apartment Sunday, police said.

The shooting happened around 2 a.m. in the 100 block of Rolling Ridge, Athens-Clarke County Police said Monday.

An argument near the female's apartment led to the shooting, police said.

The female, who was not identified, suffered non-life-threatening injuries, police said. Her condition was not revealed Monday.

Other apartments were also hit by the gunfire, police said. ACCPD did not report any other injuries.

A potential suspect was not identified, and police did not say if someone was taken into custody.
