Athens Nurses Clinic Hosts 'Music for Medicine'

The Athens Nurses Clinic will host its Music for Medicine fundraiser on Martin Luther King Day to raise money for the big move to a new facility in July 2015.

The fundraiser will take place on Monday, January 19, 2015 at 7 p.m. at Hendershot’s Bar in Athens, Ga.

Guests will be able to enjoy live music from local bands such as MrJordanMrTonks, The Wildcats, and Caroline Aiken and the C.A.B. Staff and volunteers from the Athens Nurses Clinic will also be in attendance to chat with guests.

Paige Cummings, the executive director of the clinic, will give a short speech about what the Athens Nurses Clinic is and its current and upcoming activities. Cummings will expand on notable events and activities of the clinic such as the big move to a new facility in 2015, the current campaigns, and a documentary being directed by the clinic’s very own Mark Smith, who is also a band member in MrJordanMrTonks.

Guests can enjoy drinks and live entertainment while they learn about the clinic and volunteer opportunities.

All proceeds from the night will go directly to the clinic to fund the purchase of medical resources, medical supplies, and administrative equipment.
