Athens Shooting Injures Juvenile's Hand
About 31 spent shell casings from two separate calibers were found after the Winterville Road shooting.
ATHENS, GA — A juvenile was shot in the hand around midnight Saturday in the 1900 block of Winterville Road, Athens-Clarke County Police said Monday.
Police said multiple shots hit a home and struck the juvenile in the hand. The injury was minor, and the juvenile did not have to be taken to a hospital, police said.
About 31 spent shell casings from two separate calibers were found at the scene while two bullet holes believed to be associated with the shooting were found at a neighbor's vacant home, police said.
