Spring Fashion Trends
Jana Kuner is a wife, mom and self described manic marketing machine.
We’ve all sprung forward and spring is definitely in the air, but is it in your closet yet? Sure, everyone has the sleeveless tanks and shorts to to pull out of our plastic storage tubs and move into more accessible areas, but do those old duds reflect the hottest colors for Spring? I’m talking about a pair of Grayed Jade jeggings, or a Poppy Red peplum top… If not, I’ll help you add those perfect pops of color without spending a fortune.
First and foremost, let’s discuss the right color choices. Each year experts in the fashion industry around the globe keep a keen eye on what colors designers are putting on the runways. They then use that and other factors to determine a palette of fantastic colors that are sure to be the trendiest of the season. A seasonal color report is put out by a company called Pantone© and that report is used by everyone from paint companies to advertising firms so that their products and campaigns reflect the most “in” colors.

Now, back to the “how to”! It’s not too difficult to done these colors without breaking the bank. You can spice up your outfit by adding anything from a light weight scarf, to a pair of bright hoop earrings and necklace set, to a simple hair accessory. With color blocking, being on trend you don’t even have to have one of the newer colors in your actual clothing as long as you tie one accessory to another.
Of course, if you do want to introduce some new friends to your closet this season, these colors won’t be hard to find. I visited Georgia Square Mall over the weekend and found an entire outfit (featured here) at Justice that had African Voilet Tender Shoots and Monoco Blue accents for under $35. Also, jeans in a variety of these shades were available at Aeropostale for as low as $22.25 a pair. Plus, using my “Know before I Go” policy, I found a coupon on GeorgiaSquareMall.com for $10 off a $50 purchase. (It’s always a good idea to see what’s on sale before you shop and the mall website is the best place to find all the offers in one place…)
