The Bunnies of Dunwoody
Pat shares the names and faces of the long-eared victims of the Dekalb Co. hoarding situation.
Sadly, of the 77 rabbits initially recovered, only about half have made it into the saving hands of rescue personnel and new forever families. The rest have fallen to their injuries, malnutrition, or the various hazards of outdoor living at the Jellystone park.
In order to put a face to the problem, I’ve posted some of the pictures of the refugees which are currently in the hands of the North Georgia House Rabbit Society.
Like Petzone here in Athens, GHRS is a “no-kill” shelter, which means every one of these lovies will receive medical treatment and care for as long as they need it, until their forever family comes for them. Like Petzone, they need every bit of our help in order to do it.
