Bullet Fired Through Woman's Ceiling in Athens, Ga.

A bullet was fired through a woman's apartment ceiling Thursday night, according to an Athens-Clarke County Police report. 

The woman told police that at about 1 a.m. she heard gunfire from what sounded like outside. The next morning she found a bullet lying next to the kitchen wall and a bullet hole in her ceiling. 

Police suspect the person in the apartment above the woman's apartment of shooting the gun, but he was not home when the landlord accompanied officers into the his apartment. A matching hole was found where the bullet went through the apartment's floor. 

The bullet was collected for evidence. No arrests were made.
