Burglaries, Lost Wedding Band, Liquor Store Disturbance

A woman from Beaverdam Creek Road, Winterville, reported that between April 24 and 26, some kicked in the rear door of a vacant rental property on Glendale Heights and went inside. They stole a refrigerator, washer and dryer set, stainless steel kitchen sink were stolen (total value $2,175.00) and cut the wires to a hot water heater. The items were removed through the rear, sliding-glass door of the residence.
A McCormick, SC, man and a man from Maysville reported that between April 19 and 26, someone entered two out buildings, located behind a vacant residence on Hull Road. The door was pried open on one building and a leaf blower, tool boxes/tools, lawn mower and a lid to a smoker were stolen. A ladder from that building was used to climb to a window of the building next door, and an air conditioning unit was pushed out to gain entry. A radio set and electric cables were taken from the second building.

Someone entered a Nowhere Road residence was entered between April 21 and 26. The victims were in the process of moving out of that location. Entry was made through a rear door and numerous items of children’s clothing and household items were removed. Some of the stolen items were recovered at a residence next door and suspects have been named, but not yet located and interviewed.
A man from Monroe, GA, reported that around 3:30 pm on April 26, he picked up a ring that had been repaired from a jewelry store on Clayton Street. When he got back to his car, he realized the box and the ring were missing. He attempted to locate the missing ring along his traveled path, but couldn't find it it. The ring is described as a man’s white gold wedding band, size 10 with the inscription “Toni and Carl 7/16/77 inside the band.

At 12:25 am on April 27, ACCPD officers responded to a disturbance call at the Oak Street Package Store, 367 Oak Street. Upon arrival, they made contact with two subjects who had been locked in the store by the management following an altercation inside the store. Video footage showed one of the subjects striking the cash register, causing damage to the machine, He was also seen trying to hide a small container. The container was located and its contents field-tested positive for Marijuana. Demarquemis Deion Williams, Martin Circle, Athens, was arrested and charged with Possession of Marijuana With Intent to Distribute, Possession of Drug Related Items (a small electronic digital scale) and Criminal Trespass for damaging the business’s cash register.
