Cedar Shoals Choir Performs at Carnegie Hall

Students in the Cedar Shoals Concert Choir recently performed at Carnegie Hall.

Students in the Cedar Shoals Concert Choir, directed by Linda Moon,
recently performed at Carnegie Hall. The choir rehearsed with British
conductor John Rutter, who was commissioned by Westminster Abbey to
write an anthem for the Royal Wedding.

At Carnegie Hall, they performed “Gloria” and “Te Deum”, both pieces composed by Rutter. Sophomore Madison Hogan was chosen to perform a solo. The choir sang with approximately 250 singers from other high school,
college and adult choirs. This was their second visit to Carnegie Hall; they were last there in April 2009.
