Child, Teen Injured In Athens Shopping Center Shooting
A $1,000 reward is being offered in the case for information leading to the arrest of the person involved.
ATHENS, GA — A reward of up to $1,000 is being offered after a child and a teen were both injured in a North Avenue shooting Wednesday, Athens-Clarke County Police said Thursday.
Officers responded to a shopping center around 5 p.m., when they found a 14-year-old girl with a gunshot wound in her arm and a 5-year-old girl with a face injury. Police said it is uncertain if the face injury was due to a gunshot wound, bullet fragment or shattered glass.
Both girls were taken to a local hospital for treatment. Details of a suspect are unknown.

Crime Stoppers is offering a reward in the case for information leading to the arrest of the person involved in the shooting, police said.
