CRCT Scores Released for Clarke County's Public Schools

By Anisa Sullivan Jimenez

The Clarke County School District showed gains in nearly every Criterion-Referenced Competency Test (CRCT) subject in fourth and fifth grades, as well as overall reading scores above 90%. Additional gains were posted in several subject areas and grade levels. This was the first year that Common Core Standards were used in reading, English/language arts and math.

“I am pleased with the gains made in several areas, and we remain committed to improvement – especially in the areas of science and social studies,” said Superintendent Philip D. Lanoue. “I want to thank teachers for their belief in all students to achieve at high levels. It is their dedication to effective instructional practices that enables us to make the gains we are making. “
