Crime Blotter--People Will Steal Anything

A Wickersham Drive residence was burglarized between 5pm on September 22 and 12:30am on September 23. Various jewelry, cash, and a jewelry box were stolen. The value of the items is unknown at this time.

Two people reported that their North Bluff Rd residence was burglarized between 4pm on September 17 and 12:45am on September 23. A TV, computer, jewelry, toys, and shoes were stolen. The total value was $1,289.

A woman said she arrived at her Oak Hill Drive residence around 4:30am September 23. After she entered her residence she remembered she left an item in her vehicle. She went back to her vehicle and retrieved the item. As she approached the door of her residence, a black male and a black female dressed in dark clothing ran by her from the area of her apartment. The woman resident found her door open and discovered knife cuts in the walls just inside the doorway. She ran to the parking lot and saw the two subjects enter an older model dark in color, possibly blue, Honda Accord with a spoiler. The resident returned to her residence and found other walls that had been cut as well as the bed covering. The name “Chris” had also been cut in the bedroom wall. Clothing in the closet had been rummaged through and thrown around. She could not find anything missing at this time.

A woman from Rebecca Place reported that her vehicle was entered between 4:30am and 7:30am on September 22 while it was parked on Barber Street. Four thousand dollars cash was stolen from a purse that had been left in the vehicle. A possible suspect was named.

A man from Chesterfield Rd reported that an air conditioner unit valued at $3,500 was stolen from a vacant Old Monroe Road residence. The theft occurred between 7pm on September 20 and 1:50pm on September 22.

Between 3pm on September 20 and 5:45pm on September 21 an attempt was made to enter Gaballa Auction, 950 Whitehall Rd. Graffiti had also been spray painted on doors.

Someone tried to enter the office at Hancock Fabrics, 3190 Atlanta Hwy, between 8pm and 8:30pm on September 21. The suspect was a black male, approximately 5’10”. 

A South Church Street residence was burglarized between 5am and 8:30am on September 21. Nothing is known to be missing.

Between 7am and 6:15pm on September 21, a Hwy 29 North residence was burglarized. TVs and cigarettes valued at $1,003 were stolen. Suspects were named.

A woman reported that her Reed Street residence was burglarized between 7:10pm on September 21 and 12:30am on September 22. One hundred fifty dollars was stolen.
