Crime Blotter--Project Safe Thrift Store burglary, auto accident, more stealing

Between 5:30pm on June 7 and 8:45am on June 11 the , 995 Hawthorne Ave, was burglarized. Stolen was $190.
Around 4pm on June 11 a resident of Westpark Drive, driving a 2003 Ford Explorer, was south bound on the outer 10 Loop. As she crossed the bridge over Chase Street, her vehicle hit standing water, which caused it to go out of control and strike the guard rail two times before rolling over the rail and down an embankment. The vehicle came to rest on the driver’s side. The driver was transported to . She was also cited for Too Fast for Conditions.

On June 9, a series of enforcement checks were conducted by the Alcohol Compliance Unit. Three subjects were cited for selling alcohol to buyers under 21 years old: Harold Galanti of , George Howard Adams of , and William Gibbs, Jr., The Silver Dollar Bar.
A resident of John Street said he was working on a Water Oak Street residence and had left his tools inside. Between 5pm on May 8 and 11:10am on June 11 a nail gun, power hose, CD radio, and table saw were stolen. The total value was $1,590. A witness saw a white 1965/1966 Chevrolet step side pickup truck at the residence over the weekend. Two black men were loading unknown items into the truck. One man was in his mid-20s, the other was in his mid-40s.

A vehicle was entered between 1am and 7am on June 11 while it was parked at a Ferncliff Drive residence. A laptop with case and cell phone were stolen. The total value was $1,169.
Air conditioner units valued at $7,500 were stolen from , 615 Tallassee Rd, between 5:30pm on June 8 and 11:30am on June 11.
