Crime Blotter--Stealing and More Stealing

A man reported that someone broke a window in an attempt to gain entry to a house he owns on Lavender Road. The incident occurred between July 25th and July 27th. The house owner could not name a suspect.
A woman said her Westwood Drive residence was burglarized between 4pm on July 26th and 2:30pm on July 27th. The woman said someone came in through a bedroom window. Items taken include home entertainment system, laptop, jewelry, cash and a lava lamp. Total value thus far is $2,950.

A man reported that his 4x7 utility trailer was stolen from his Stonehenge residence between 7pm on July 26th and 9am on July 27th. The man later recovered his trailer behind a vacant house on Stonehenge Way.
A Martin Circle resident said he parked his 1995 Lincoln Continental on Hawthorne Extension between 4:30am and 9:30am on July 27th. The man said when he went to this location at 9:30am on July 27th, his vehicle had been stolen.

A Pine Needle Drive resident said his 2002 Toyota was entered between 4pm on July 26th and 7:50am on July 27th. The man said a laptop that belonged to the Clarke County School District was stolen. There were no signs of forced entry.
An older man reported he was walking near Nellie B Avenue and Vine Street with his grandchildren when he was approached by a group of about four men and one woman asking for change. As he reached into his pocket, he was attacked by the group, who stole $60 from him.
A woman on North Poplar Street reported that someone entered her home by breaking a front window. A laptop computer and power cord were taken.
