Delta Air Lines and the University of Georgia will present the 2012 Delta Prize for Global Understanding at a March 16 ceremony. The Prize is being awarded to Canadian senator and retired Canadian Army lieutenant-general Romeo Dallaire.
The presentation will be preceded by a discussion entitled "A Conversation with Romeo Dallaire" at 3 p.m. in the Georgia Center Masters Hall.
The presentation will follow at 7 p.m. in the Georgia Center for Continuing Education Conference Center and Hotel at UGA.

The Prize consists of a sculpture, a $10,000 cash award and a $50,000 travel allowance from Delta for a non-profit organization named by the recipient.
