Athens Community Council on Aging (ACCA) and the National Academy of Social Insurance for their Voices of the South: How Social Security Affects Rural Populations will be hosting a Lunch and Learn on July 27, 2011 from 11:30 to 1:00 p.m. at ACCA’s Harris Room, 135 Hoyt St., Athens. The purpose of this training will be to educate individuals about local and state legislators, how to find how who they are and how to contact them. The training will touch on topics such as how a bill becomes a law, the budget cycle in Georgia and where individuals can make an impact.
