Aquarium Rescue Unit featuring Col. Bruce Hampton, Jimmy Herring, Oteil Burbridge and Apt Q-258

The Georgia Theatre is re-introducing itself with a grand opening celebration from Aug. 1 thru Aug. 14. The Aquarium Rescue Unit featuring Col. Bruce Hampton, Jimmy Herring, Oteil Burbridge and Apt Q-258 will take to the stage at 9 p.m. on Aug. 8. The doors will open at 8 p.m.
The Aquarium Rescue Unit's ever-rotating lineup became a fixture on the early jam band scene, eventually spawning members of the Allman Brothers Band, Phil Lesh and Friends, Leftover Salmon and Frogwings. The band's fun fusion of bluegrass, rock, Latin, jazz and impeccable chops became a template for much future work in the genre. Now The Aquarium Rescue Unit are back together, featuring: Col. Bruce Hampton (guitar, vocals), Jimmy Herring (guitar), Jeff Sipe aka Apt Q-258 (drums), Oteil Burbridge (bass), and Matt Slocum (keyboards).
Fans who can't make it to the show can tune in to the live Pay-Per-View on iClips.net. Prices for the webcast start at $7.99 prior to August 8th and go up to $9.09 on the day of show.
