A special fundraiser for Bear Hollow Zoo will take place at the Terrapin Brewery on Friday, September 9 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Come meet some of our program animals: an opossum, screech owl, barn owl, rat, hedgehog, snakes and (because it’s Terrapin!) a bunch of turtles.
Custom Bear Hollow Zoo glasses are $12 each with event proceeds benefitting the zoo’s bear enclosure project. The $12 custom glass includes sampling of 32 ounces Terrapin beer and a complimentary tour of the brewery.
The current black bear exhibit, which holds the zoo’s mature male bear, DJ, is only equipped to house two bears. The proceeds from this event and others like it, as well as generous donations from donors, will be used specifically to fund the expansion and renovation of the current black bear exhibit so that the two cubs, Athena and Yonah, can live alongside DJ.
