The Georgia Theatre is celebrating its Grand Re-Opening from Aug. 1 to Aug. 14. Atlanta-based Blackberry Smoke will headline on Aug. 5. They will be filming a live DVD with a special guest. The band is comprised of bassist and vocalist Richard Turner, guitarist and vocalist Charlie Starr, keyboard player Brandon Still, drummer Brit Turner and guitarist and vocalist Paul Jackson and continues to grow into America's premiere southern rock band. During the last year they have shared the stage with ZZ Top, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Shooter Jennings, Cross Canadian Ragweed and many others.
Doors will open at 8 p.m., Nic Cowan will play at 9 p.m. and Blackberry Smoke will take to the stage at 10 p.m.
