Boléros to Elegies on Reeds and Pipes

The Northeast Georgia chapter of The American Guild of Organists and St. Stephen’s Anglican Church will host a concert featuring artists Whitney Holley on oboe and English horn, and St. Stephen's organist William F. Coscarelli.  Featured works for oboe and organ include Ennio Morricone’s ever popular Gabriel’s Oboe from the motion picture The Mission, Andante pastorale by Josef Rheinberger, and Summer carol by John Karl Hirten.  Works for English horn and organ are Canticle by Charles Callahan, and Partita by Jan Koetsier.  Solo organ works include Bolero by Lefébure-Wély and Elegy by Malcolm Archer, to name just two. The featured guest, Whitney Holley, received her Doctor of Music Arts degree from the Hugh Hodgson School of Music.  Mr. Coscarelli has been director of music at St. Stephen’s Anglican Church since 1994 and for many years has been the head of music collections for The University of Georgia Libraries.  The artists cordially invite you to come and join them in the sanctuary of St. Stephen’s Anglican Church. Following the program there will be a reception of light refreshments.  The concert is free and open to the public.
