Terry Kay will be signing his latest book, “The Greats of Cuttercane,” at Barnes & Noble on Tuesday, Oct. 4, at 7 p.m.
A book of short stories written in the style of Southern caricature, it’s about the people of Cuttercane, GA, who have earned their township’s gossipy praise, “He/she is something else.”
The stories range from the lard watermelon champion, Newell Proudfoot, to the striptease artist, Mattie Mae Blair, and also include the brief movie career of Felton Eugene Weaver and the history-making baseball showdown between Elmo Parker and Monroe Dawson.
