Food preservation has been a critical part of survival at every turn in history. Fortunately, our knowledge about food safety and the prevention of harmful bacteria allows us to preserve food more safely than previous generations. Denise Everson, Family and Consumer Sciences Agent for The University of Georgia Cooperative Extension, will share research-based recipes and provide step-by-step instructions on safe methods for food preservation. This hands-on class will show you how you can preserve the sweet smells and tastes of your garden.
