The UGA Department of Dance will host a Community Dance Day Celebration. Activiites will include adult and children’s classes, a lecture, a family- oriented performance featuring CORE Concert Dance Company, UGA Ballet Ensemble, Ballroom Performance Group and community guest performers from the East Athens Dance Center and the Classic City Dance. An outdoor reception will take place between the classes and the performance.
Concurrent classes will begin at 1:30 p.m. in the dance studios and will include Beginning Ballroom Dance (ages 12 to adult) and Creative Movement (approx. ages 4 to 10). The lecture will be an engaging, informal talk on the technical/production aspects of dance performance.
