On Thursday, August 9, 2012, please join us at , where you will meet Matt Jones, a high school teacher from the Vidalia, GA, area who (along with some of his colleagues and some parents in Toombs County) started the stellar EmpowerED Georgia website last year. They created their website because of their concern about Georgia's declining support for its public schools, and the lack of a clear voice on many issues relevant to teaching and learning in our schools.
We look forward to welcoming Matt to Athens next week on Thursday, August 9, 2012, from 5pm to 6:30pm -- great timing as this is the day after CCSD school resumes. The atmosphere will be casual and families are welcomed and encouraged to attend.
