SCIENCE ON SCREEN SERIES: ROBOTS & SLEEPWALKERS - FRIDAYS SEPT 21 & 28
Ciné joins a select group of twenty theatres around the U.S. as the recipient of a prestigious Coolidge Corner Theatre and Alfred P. Sloan Foundation Science on Screen grant, an initiative that creatively pairs film screenings with lively presentations by notable science and technology experts.
Ciné’s Science on Screen series showcases two “buzz” films from the 2012 Sundance Film Festival now in theatrical release: kicking off on Friday September 21 with ROBOT & FRANK, introduced by University of Georgia robotics expert Dr. David Saltz; and continuing on Friday, September 28 with SLEEPWALK WITH ME, introduced by Georgia State University neurological and sleep impairment expert Dr. Michael J. Decker. (A third Science on Screen event will be announced at a later date.)
