First Friday EATS: "Water Quality: Improving Stream Networks on Campus and Beyond"

First Friday EATS will focus on "Water Quality: Improving Stream Networks on Campus and Beyond." Panelists will include Dexter Adams, PPD Grounds Department; Carol Couch, College of Environment and Design and Laurie Fowler, Odum School of Ecology. The proximity of UGA’s Main Campus to the Oconee River, one of ten endangered places in the Southeast as named by the Southern Environmental Law Center, provides a powerful learning and research opportunity for the campus community. Streams and watersheds on the campus have been monitored and studied extensively for the past few years. Panelists will share their knowledge of improvements and challenges to the stream network and discuss the broadening scope of our actions.

The panel will be held in the First Floor Rotunda of Joe Frank Harris Commons at the UGA East Dining Hall.
