The Lyndon House Arts Center (LHAC) will host a Holiday Open House on Saturday, December 3 from 10 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The seasonal open house is centered around a traditional display of fresh green holiday decorations created by the Ladies Garden Club for the historic Ware-Lyndon House. Tour guides will be on hand to share the history of the house once lived in by the first mayor of Athens.
Children will have an opportunity to make gingerbread houses, holiday cards and ornaments in the Children’s Studio. Santa Claus will be present in the Community Room to visit with children and Athens Photo Guild will be taking photographs with Santa.
Musical performances, including those by the Clarke Central//Clarke Middle School Orchestra and the Clarke Central Choir, are scheduled in the Lower Atrium.
“Community,' a juried art exhibition of works by artists from all ACC schools K through 12, will be on display.
LHAC’s holiday market will feature the work of over 100 local artists.
