The ACC Library presents "Alamar" as part of its iFilm series. Jorge and Roberta, who have been separated for several years, come from opposite worlds: he likes an uncomplicated life in the jungle, while she prefers a more urban existence. He is Mexican and she is Italian, and she has decided to return to Rome with their five-year-old son, Natan. Jorge has only a few weeks before Natan and Roberta leave to bond with his son and teach him about their shared Mayan heritage. Despite Natan's initial misgivings, Jorge takes him to the pristine Chinchorro reef and eases him into the rhythms of a fisherman's life.
